Allô! St. Barths is pleased to announce that our real-time chat room, the St. Barths Café, is open!

Unlike a forum, the St. Barths Café allows you to chat with other people interested in St. Barths in real time.  That means you can talk directly with others interested in St. Barths without having to wait for a response, like you do in a discussion forum (we have one of those too!).  Real time chat is more fun, more interactive, and gives you the opportunity to talk without all of the delay of a forum

No special software is needed, just a Java-ready browser (like Internet Explorer, or Firefox), although if you'd prefer, you could also log in using an IRC client.  When you click on the St. Barths Café, you'll be asked if you want to run the secure Java client (click "Run") and you're on your way!  You can choose any name you'd like to chat with (the default is Allo_###).  I'll be there most hours of the day, unless I'm out running errands, taking pictures, or chasing a news story.  My nickname is "BarthSpanky"; feel free to say hello!
