Warm and sunny, all the time! Well, almost all the time...

St. Barths is a tropical island and the weather is exactly what you'd expect: warm and sunny. Well, sometimes it's HOT and sunny. And it rains sometimes. But the rain is warm and doesn't last long. Usually. Weather is like the stock market, if you could predict it, you'd be a zillionare. Look over our information here to get a better idea of what to expect at the different times of the year. Follow the links below to see local maps, forecasts, and readings for the area.

Generally

Most of the year, the temperature in St. Barths is around 28˚C/80˚F. There is a light breeze and puffy little clouds that quietly pass by and make wonderful shapes. It can rain at a moment's notice, but these rains are usually, light, quick, and warm. The clouds tend to pass from East to West and if they're not, change is in the air. At night, it cools off, but is still shorts weather. I keep a long sleeved shirt nearby in case a cool breeze picks up, but I'm not sure why; I never use it.

I like to say that St. Barths has the best weather, because when there's rain out over the ocean, it usually passes by without a drop and rains on St. Maarten. This makes me chuckle. But if you're out, and suddenly the wind picks up for a few minutes, look around, some grumpy cloud might be coming to let loose some drops. It's a good idea to roll up your car windows and put up the top when leaving the car for awhile, or overnight, to avoid wet seats. I like to keep a car towel in the back just in case...you never know when you might just have to go to the beach!

Hurricanes

Hurricanes are not a joke and should be taken very seriously. Please review our hurricane information page for more information.
